Joyce Mitchell Cook, A Philosphy Conference hosted by the Yale University Philosophy Department














































The Yale Philosophy Department is pleased to host the Joyce Mitchell Cook Conference on Friday and Saturday, December 4th and 5th, 2015.  Dr. Cook was the first African American woman to earn a PhD in Philosophy in the US, which she earned at Yale.  The conference brings together an esteemed group of scholars to honor the life and work of Dr. Cook, including a keynote by Dr. George Yancy.  

The conference will be held on the Yale University Old Campus, in Linsly-Chittenden Hall, Rooms 102 and 211, 63 High Street, New Haven, CT 06511.  The conference is free and open to the public.
