Diwali
Sunday, November 15, 12:00–5:00 p.m.
Free with Museum admission

Please join us as the Met celebrates Diwali, the annual Indian "festival of lights," which signifies the victory of good over evil within every human being. The Museum's celebration will feature an interactive children's Indian dance workshop, art-making activities, and Storytime from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m.

Members of the East-West School of Dance will perform the story of Diwali in the Grace Rainey Rogers Auditorium at 2:30 p.m. Doors to the Auditorium will open at 2:00 p.m. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. We hope to see you there!
Visitors are invited to view the Museum's Florence and Herbert Irving Galleries for the Arts of South and Southeast Asia, including the special exhibition The Royal Hunt: Courtly Pursuits in Indian Art (on view through December 8 in gallery 251).

The exhibition is made possible by The Miriam and Ira D. Wallach Foundation Fund.
