NFL LEGEND MICHAEL STRAHAN COMES TO HARLEM

NFL legend Michael Strahan made his name on the football field, setting the record for single season sacks in 2001. In 2014, he was inducted into Pro Football Hall of Fame but his star has shined brighter and for longer than his 216 history-making games with the New York Giants, which included a win at Super Bowl XLII. In 2008, Michael joined the Fox" NFL Sunday" pregame show as a commentator, and in 2012, he beat a competitive roster of candidates to replace Regis Philbin as co-host of the wildly popular "Live! with Kelly & Michael". In April 2014, he joined "Good Morning America "as a special cohost, and Barbara Walters has selected him as one of her 10 Most Fascinating People of 2014.

Marvaisms
It's been awhile since I wrote the Marvaisms blog. If you remember, for those who read the blog, earlier in the year I talked a lot about a change of perspective. The change you need to spark creativity when life gets so intense that you can't see the forest from the trees. Well, I made good on my word.  I decided to go to the Middle East. Bordered by Israel on one side and Syria on the other, Lebanon is in the midst of killing fields but I LOVED Lebanon, Beirut in particular, even though the entire country is beautiful.  Honestly, I really expected the people to be downtrodden and apprehensive. They are not.  They are the most vibrant, giving, warm and friendly people I have every met.  They work hard and play hard. I usually don't miss places but I miss, so very much, the friends I made in Beirut. The Mediterranean bordered Phonetician city was where the alphabet was developed and sits on sacred and hollowed ground.  It was where, I was told Jesus walked, and it felt like it. 7,0000 years of history. The old, the new.  This enchanting, spiritually uplifting journey gave me an appreciation for the continuity of time.  It reminded me also, that despite living in the middle of seeming chaos and conflict, that we can still indeed rise, just like a Phoenix.

The trip made me fearless...so go ahead and check out my glamour shot profile picture, compliments of my dear friend Jay Manuel.  Manuel's amazing new line of make-up has transformed me. I mean I had to look at ,myself twice. Join Jay on August 25th on HSNand tadada...you will get to see him transform me once again on national TV...yes, I am adding model to my resume.

It great to be back though and we here at Hue-Man Online are hoping that you are enjoying the best summer ever and we look forward to seeing you at one of our super cool pop-up events.  Check out our fall line up below.

Sincerely,

Marva Allen and the Hue-Man Online Family.
