Creative, & College-Bound | New Haven Independent:

N’Zinga Shani has spent the past weeks looking at a statistic she finds good — but not good enough: With 96 nonwhites make up 17 percent of the new U.S. Congress. That’s great—until you consider that they make up 34 percent of the American population.
On her first episode of “OneWorld Presents,” she was interested in hearing what three of New Haven’s college-bound youth had to say about it. And how they were going to change it.
To hear what Karla Hicks, Odia Kane, and Khalil Dunham-Carson, headed respectively to Quinnipiac University, University of Connecticut and Penn State University, had to say, listen to the audio file above and share your thoughts below. You can also listen by finding the episode in iTunes or any podcast app by searching under “WNHH Community Radio.”
