(New Haven, CT) – As
a part of its effort to empower individuals from Connecticut’s urban
communities with the necessary tools to access jobs more easily in their
communities, Uber, in collaboration with the Greater New Haven NAACP,
will host its latest onboarding event this Thursday in New Haven.
The
initiative, UberUP, has committed the company to partnering with 1,500
drivers in urban communities across Connecticut. Together with the
NAACP, The WorkPlace and Workforce Alliance, they are working toward
eliminating economic barriers in communities around Connecticut.
