In y opinion we tend to forget that the civil war was important but also the abolitionist movement-anti slavery society wave of protest lived for several decades.
America is marked by movements, anti abortion, abortion rights, health care as a right versus a free market product, climate change versus climate change critics, women's right to vote, the American communist party creation versus anti communists mania and more.
There is something about the abolitionists movement however that continues to haunt me.
In 2015 there are as many opportunities to stand up and to be fully counted as there ever where.
