Artscape Was a Blast! Liberated Muse Arts Group Performed in US' Largest Arts Festival Hi there, Khadijah "Moon" Ali-Coleman, here-- Liberated Muse Arts Group's founding director and ensemble member. FREE WORKSHOP FOR TEENS I wanted to update you on an upcoming workshop sponsored by the DC Public Library System that I am personally teaching. This workshop is for young people aged 11-17 years-old and takes place Friday, August 14th.Using the principles of Image Theatre as developed by innovator Augusto Boal, this interactive drop-in workshop for teens will challenge them to be expressive as performers using their body language to convey meaning effectively. RSVP and get additional details here. We wanted to thank everyone who has been coming out to our performance series and open mic #theSPILL since its debut this past March. This past Wednesday, we had an INCREDIBLE time and didn't want the night to end. We celebrated Anonamas, our hostess' birthday and enjoyed performances from our talented feature acts Brian Christopher and the Bangladesh Project. Our LAST edition of #theSPILL in DC is Wed, Aug. 19th, so make sure you're there! Watch last week's here.

LIBERATED MUSE ARTS GROUP PERFORMS IN DC POETRY FESTIVAL And, finally, I would like to invite you to our last performance of the summer. On Friday, August 21, 2015, we will be performers in the 15th Annual DC Poetry Festival honoring the incredible artist we know as Gil Scott-Heron.
