Right to Rebel as American as Apple Pie

As we celebrate the upcoming July 4th I remind myself that the right to secede , separate and rebel is as American as apple pie.
 Our "founding fathers" wrote eloquently about their  unabashed grievances and reasons for declaring their independence from the mother country of England.

Similarly the confederate states felt deeply committed and justified in exercising their state's right to leave the Union
