NHdocs: The New Haven Documentary Film Festival- "Free " to the Public

About Us « NHdocs: The New Haven Documentary Film Festival

I attended The New Haven Documentary Film Festival last night. It continues today( Saturday June 6 and Sunday June 7). It is free to the public. Even typing free to the public implies that there is no cost and no sacrifice. I say this in the context that after watching two films last night  one pertaining to internet identity, information access and control  and other on the US History of the Communist Party the political and social construct of freedom is still whirling in my mind.

Does someone have to 'pay" for freedom even when we think that it can be garnered freely?

If your time permits check out the remaining screenings being held at the New Haven Free Public Library (there goes that word again freedom) on Saturday and at the Whitney Center for Humanities on Sunday.
