PAVE
New Haven is a collaborative of youth-serving organizations and schools
coming together to foster the success of students and their families.
PAVE places members throughout the city in order to target the
community's most crucial issues in an effort to reduce the achievement
gap between students from low-income families and their wealthier peers.
The mission of Higher Heights Youth Empowerment Programs, Inc. (HHYEP)
is to change the lives of under-represented college-bound students to
empower, encourage, and equip them to obtain a post-secondary education.
HHYEP provides a host of services that consist of invaluable youth
programs, such as college planning, test preparation, career planning,
tutorial services, and seminars. HHYEP seeks to build its capacity to
serve 300 youth annually by increasing their volunteer base, increasing
school partnerships, and fundraising.
Duties:
Help expand the community's knowledge of College Access programs and
post-secondary resources * Build partnerships with local schools to
connect students with resources for post-secondary success * Help Higher
Heights diversify its funding streams by developing community giving
and local business partnerships * Assist with special events that engage
the community and help promote academic success for all
