NEW HAVEN >> State Rep. Robyn Porter, D-94, said Saturday she’s not exempt from being profiled based solely on the color of her skin.
The African American state representative, whose district straddles the border between Hamden and New Haven, was one of eight who spoke as part of a panel tasked with talking about the current climate of American social justice, post Ferguson.
Porter recalled a time when a police officer pulled her over. She said she had just finished driving through a green light at an intersection. The officer approached her car.
