With
$10,000 on the line for our effective, scrappy, and always scraping for
funding New Haven based mentoring program called the "Gang of Dads," I
hope you'll allow me to be a bit of a pain over the next 10 days. We are
the only Connecticut pony in this horse race..and a horse race it is!
We only have 9+ days to reach the top!
At
this moment, we are in second place among the eight finalists. We've
gotten to within 5 votes of the the New York program that's now in first
place, but they (understandably) have turned up their efforts and
increased the margin to 35 votes. This one email could reverse the tide and flip the margin to our favor if you'll take the 30 seconds to vote right now. Please; the link to vote is at the bottom of this mail piece.
Once again, we're the only Connecticut mentoring program to make it to the finals!!
From
among 100 entries in the four state region of Pennsylvania, New York,
Connecticut and Massachusetts, the Gang of Dads Mentoring program (a
partnership between the Greater New Haven Help Alliance and The New
Haven Family Alliance) has been chosen to be among the eight finalists
to go on to the next round in First Niagara Bank's annual mentoring
push! Praise God!
The
entry consisted of a 60 second video that was supposed to tell a
compelling story in support of mentoring. 15 year old Jayson and his
mentor, Montrel did a great job in telling just such a story!
Now
we need YOUR VOTES, YOUR FRIENDS VOTES, YOUR FAMILY'S VOTES AND
EVERYONE ELSE'S VOTES FROM BOTH NEAR AND FAR FOR THIS VIDEO! It's just a
