WHAT:   The student council of King Robinson Magnet School invite Mayor Toni Harp to participate in an assembly where she will be presented with a donation to support her efforts to further unite the city of New Haven. The student body of King Robinson located in the Newhallville neighborhood have mobilized to effect the world in a positive way through the International Baccalaureate principles of meaningful action and international mindedness.
This past October they took to the streets in a school wide Walk-A-Thon with friends, family, and neighborhood community to encourage them to sponsor their wanting to have more school events and activities. In December they hosted “The Season of Hope” campaign with the goal of spreading hope to their community in need of stability. The responses to their efforts were overwhelming, donated funds will be used to finance school wide events, and given to an organization chosen by the student body.
We invite you to support our student body as they celebrate their success by giving back to their community!
