The 20th Annual Black Solidarity Conference at Yale Presents...

The Ties that Bind: Unique in Our Blackness, One in Our Struggle
February 19-22nd, 2015

The Black Solidarity Conference at Yale seeks to bring undergraduates of all colors together to discuss issues pertaining to the African Diaspora. Through discussions, panels, networking, and social gatherings, over 700 students from across the country analyze issues affecting our community and explore solutions to undertake at their respective college campuses. The Conference is hosted annually in February at Yale University in New Haven, CT by a student organization. In the past, the Conference has hosted Drs. Michael Eric Dyson, Angela Davis, and Cornel West as Keynote Speakers as well as J. Cole, Big Sean, and Phony Ppl as Concert Performers. In the following pages, you can discover how to register for conference and bring change to our community!About the 2015 Theme:

The Ties That Bind: Unique in Our Blackness, One in Our Struggle

The 2015 Black Solidarity Conference theme, "The Ties That Bind: Unique in Our Blackness, One in Our Struggle," was born out of a desire to both address systematic oppression as it affects us today, and to recommit ourselves to the spirit of BSC in light of its 20th Anniversary. The Diaspora must stand together in unity in order to be the driving force that promotes change in our communities, and this year's conference strives to empower us to be that force.

Where is the Conference?

The conference takes place annually at Yale University. The Afro-American Cultural Center at Yale serves as the "home base" throughout BSC, while panels, workshops, and several events take place in classrooms, conference halls, and other venues across Yale's campus.
