While Dr. Ben Carson and Charles Barkley are the chosen spokespersons for our opposition, we encourage and support the young people around the country that are mobilizing, organizing and creating a new movement. Young people have always been the backbone of reform and revolution. The elders need to move out of their way and let the young people do their thing! Our elders must share wisdom and take the advisory position.
As a part of the movement to change prosecutorial discretion, grand jury unfairness, police killing of unarmed Black Males and over-militarization of local police forces – we must add an economic component to our protests which will enhance our demonstrations during the season that retail merchants count on us for profits.
All successful movements have had an economic component. We won’t encourage a call for a boycott or selective buying campaign because “secondary boycotts” are illegal. We can tell all justice-loving, freedom fighting people not to shop and to Shut Santa Claus Down. Most of us already have more than enough in our closets and throughout our homes; we are truly blessed! It’s time for our generation to make some sacrifices for Freedom just like our Ancestors did in the past. Isn’t it sickening to see people fight, scramble, stampede and trample one another to purchase items that they don’t need? How many TV’s and pairs of shoes does one need after all?
We increase our chances for change if we let the decision-makers of Wall Street know that we will back our protests, demonstrations and direct action with a concerted, collective, highly impactful spending stoppage; especially at this time of year during the Holiday Season. From Ferguson to Staten Island, Cleveland to Brooklyn, California to Chiraq (Chicago) and last but not least the Great State of Connecticut! America is a Capitalistic Society, where the Almighty Dollar Rules $ We must hit them where it hurts! Santa Claus represents the Fat Cats on Wall Street who make the big decisions for America – Let’s shut Santa Claus down and bring Wall Street to its knees…
