Freeing Our Children from Deadly Stereotypes

Freeing Our Children from Deadly Stereotypes
presented by
Community Healing Network
Saturday, December 13, 2014
10am to 2pm
Black children are far more likely to be suspended from school, arrested, and killed than White children. Why? How can we make sure that our children’s lives are as valued as those of all other children?
This workshop will focus on:
1. How negative stereotypes of Black people are hurting our children today;
2. How and why these stereotypes were invented; and
3. What we as parents can do to destroy these stereotypes and help heal the wounds inflicted by them.
Open to parents, grandparents, guardians, community,
all who care for and care about children.
Refreshments will be served.
