Patricia Kelly founder of Ebony Horsewomen located in Hartford, CT is among the top 10 international contenders for CNN Heroes 2014. Anderson Cooper calls her horse farm an “urban oasis for at risk kids”. Kelly’s story has recently been featured on CNN, Good Morning America, the Queen Latifah Show and the Inquiring News.
Kelly founded Ebony Horsewomen in 1984 and through the use of Equine Assisted Growth and Learning helps over 300 youths yearly.
The nominee who collects the most votes will be named CNN Hero 2014 and
will receive funding to help continue their mission. The winner will be
announced at the “CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute” on Sunday, Dec.
7th.
