HAMDEN >> Inside “Partnerships in Learning and Creative Exploration (P.L.A.C.E.) Arts Studio,” colorful masks, drums and lanterns hang on display, designed by students.
The right side of the studio is filled with paintings done by more students, eight years’ worth of collections since P.L.A.C.E. Children’s Museum was founded. The studio sits on the second floor of a small plaza, tucked away and unobserved by people except those familiar with the arts.
Come Saturday, P.L.A.C.E. will flash its designs, most known to be created by kids, wduring the eighth annual Arts and Culture Festival at Hamden Middle School from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The festival as originally was to be held on the town Green but a forecast of rain moved it inside the school.
