Dr. Stoudmire has always had a passion for caring for others so, forty-one years ago, she embarked on a rewarding career in nursing. During the first twelve years, Dr. Stoudmire worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse in OB/GYN and Medical/Surgical nursing. In 1978, she went back to school and received an Associate Degree in Nursing. She continued her educational journey by completing her Masters in Nursing degree from the University of Phoenix and in 2008, her PhD in Nursing from the University of San Diego.

     For the past twenty-nine years, Dr. Stoudmire has worked in a wide range of professional roles in psychiatric nursing, clinical research, nursing management, healthcare program development, forensic nursing, quality improvement, case management, and legal nurse consulting. Her special expertise, in the past 15 years, has been serving as a nurse educator, mentor and nurse education consultant.

     In 1997, Dr. Stoudmire founded JAMAA Health Consultants, Inc., a non-profit consulting firm specializing in program development and delivery of community-based health programs that serves the homeless and at-risk youth. In 2010, she founded Stoudmire Consulting which specializes in nursing education program development.
