Kahlenberg and Halley Potter of The Century Foundation will share research and stories from their new book, A Smarter Charter: Finding What Works for Charter Schools and Public Education, which traces the evolution of these publicly fundedbut privately run schools and calls for rethinking current approaches. Together with a panel of local educators and leaders, they will discuss how charter schools can best serve communities in Brooklyn and New York City.
