Working Together to Build a Greater Boston Region for All: The State of Equity in Metro Boston Action Agenda Release

Join equity advocates from around the region for a discussion about the region’s key equity priorities, highlighting actions that are being taken – and those that need to be taken – to create a more equitable region. This event will feature keynote remarks by Angela Glover Blackwell, Founder and CEO of PolicyLink, as well as the release of MAPC’s State of Equity in Greater Boston Policy Agenda.
Local advocates will offer remarks on four of the Agenda’s particularly significant recommendations:
    •    Prevent displacement of residents from neighborhoods near rapid transit
    •    Reduce health disparities
    •    Design and retrofit municipalities to ensure climate change resilience for all residents
    •    Facilitate statewide violence prevention programs
Lunch will be provided.
This event is co-sponsored by the Charles Hamilton Houston Institute for Race and Justice, the Metropolitan Area Planning Council, Action for Regional Equity, and the Mel King Institute.
