DNC CHAIR DEBBIE WASSERMAN SCHULTZ AND CONNECTICUT DEMOCRATS TO LAUNCH “WEEKEND OF ACTION”
Hartford, CT - In the first high profile visit of the election season, tomorrow DNC
Chair Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz will join Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman,
Rep. Rosa DeLauro, New Haven Mayor Toni Harp and others for a
roundtable discussion of issues critical to women and their families –
including access to preventive care, reversing the Supreme Court’s Hobby
Lobby decision, ensuring equal pay and other Democratic proposals to
help middle-class families.
Later,
DNC Chair Rep. Wasserman Schultz, Lt. Governor Wyman, Rep. DeLauro and
Mayor Harp will join volunteers to kick off Connecticut Democrats’
“Weekend of Action” at the New Haven field office. Contacting,
registering, engaging and turning out voters will be key to winning in
2014, and Democrats remain committed to expanding the vote for people in
Connecticut and across the country.
