#TBT: Mildred Loving and Richard Loving, an African-American woman and a white man, were sentenced to a year in prison for marrying each other. 47 years ago today, in the landmark Loving v. Virginia case, the Supreme Court overturned the ban on interracial marriage in affirmation of a fundamental truth about our country: No matter who you are, where you come from, what you believe, or who you love, we in America stand together under one banner: “Out of many, we are one.” #LoveisLove
