New Haven Club NANBPW Celebrates Karaine Holness

For the month of April, we are celebrating the accomplishments of Mrs. Karaine (Kay) Holness owner of Hair's Kay Salon of New Haven, CT

As a young girl growing up in Manchester, Jamaica, Kay was greatly influenced by the women in her family and their innate ability to see an opportunity and go after it. Kay wanted to provide those same opportunities to, and through, her clientele. A salon owner for over 19 years and featured in various industry magazines for her community involvement, Kay recently took the opportunity to start a school Hair’s Kay Academy of Cosmetology. Her newest, and most challenging venture, she is supported both mentally and spiritually by her husband Robert Holness, three children and the extended Hair’s Kay family. Kay has worked tirelessly within the Greater New Haven and Tri-state area to establish programs that directly impact multicultural women in the community.
