Hillhouse grad Monica Hargrove returning to IAAF World Indoor Championships
Former Hillhouse track and field star Monica Hargrove will represent
the United States at the IAAF World Indoor Championships in Poland in
March.
The Olympic hopeful will compete in the 4x400-meter relay in Sopot, Poland, on March 7-9.
This will be the second IAAF World Indoor Championships
appearance for Hargrove, who won a silver medal in the event in 2006.
Hargrove secured her spot Sunday by qualifying with a time of 52.52
seconds at the USATF Indoor Championships in Albuquerque, N.M.
Hargrove was an All-American in 2002, 2003 and 2004 before going
on to Georgetown and setting records at the Penn State Relays in both
2006 and 2009.
