Phil didn’t pander. Equally important, he didn’t rant or
rave. He just boldly spoke the truth in love without giving way an inch
on his principles. In today’s climate, you’d think that’s shooting
yourself in the foot, and he did get the standard liberal treatment from
the media and A&E.
But the real story is how the public responded. The huge outpouring
of public support for him proves that most Americans still support
traditional values and are thrilled when someone finally articulates

Why have these images resonated so well?
Because the American public as a whole is sick to death of two things:- Having traditional values quashed by the heavy hand of political correctness, and
- Being unable to express simple opinions or support for our values without being called a homophobic, racist, sexist, Bible-thumping low-down rascally scoundrel.
And of course, the issue of homosexuality is probably the toughest one for us to win in today’s climate, while simultaneously being the one that brings out the most vitriol from the left.
