Dixwell Congregational to hold event to honor Nelson Mandela
NEW HAVEN - Dixwell Congregational United Church of Christ will hold a memorial service honoring the life and legacy of the late former South African President Nelson Mandela at 4 p.m. Sunday, (Dec. 15) at the church at 217 Dixwell Ave.
The event is free and open to the public.
"Please make this a Family Affair and encourage everyone to attend and please bring their children," organizers said in a release.
