WKKF Community Leadership Network - W.K. Kellogg Foundation

Why This Work Matters

The W.K. Kellogg Foundation (WKKF) has a long history of supporting both emerging and existing leaders working to solve problems within their communities. Fellowships have, over the years, been one of the foundation’s most effective tools for realizing the belief that community-grounded leadership is a critical tool for both individual development and broad societal change.
The WKKF Community Leadership Network constitutes a renewed commitment to this purpose.
Fellows will engage in shared learning experiences that will help transform them into strong agents of social change that will last well beyond the program’s duration. Through the fellowship, WKKF hopes to create a cadre of community and civic leaders who are able to bring diverse communities together as vigorous advocates for vulnerable children and their families.
Ideal candidates are developing or established leaders who grasp the importance of working with others and can:
  • Engage in exploring solutions and invite others to help solve conflicts
  • Empathize and connect to others through voice, action or presence
  • Respond to new opportunities and relationships, maximizing social change
