Facing Race: A National Conference will be held in Dallas, Texas on November 13-15th, 2014. This will be the 7
th
conference presented by Race Forward (formerly the Applied Research
Center) and will be the country’s largest multi-racial,
inter-generational gathering on racial justice. We invite organizers,
educators, artists, funders, and everyone interested in racial equity to
join us to exchange best practices, and learn about innovative models and successful organizing initiatives.
The conference showcases content that challenges structural racism,
popularizes racial justice, highlights models and solutions, builds
strategic connections across constituencies
, and develops young leaders. We are looking for
Breakout Session proposals that address these issues.
Submit a proposal to be featured in one of our three conference tracks: 1) Organizing and Advocacy
, 2) Research and Policy, and 3) Arts, Media, and Culture. Breakout Session proposals must be
submitted by
January 24, 2014.
