Overview:

This week begins with an ending…the lunar cycle is drawing to a close on Sunday and a new cycle begins with Monday's New Moon in Pisces. The Pisces New Moon each year is time to get in touch with our spiritual roots and branches. It's a time to survey the influences that surround us, our mental and physical ecology. Is there a safe quiet place in life, a refuge to which one can retire to rest and recharge? If not, this New Moon is a good time to think about creating one. With Mercury Retrograde in effect, and with his energy climbing toward his change of direction this coming Saturday, take the time to check over those day-to-day life conditions that shape our mood and feelings.

Monday evening, after the New Moon, Mars leaves Pisces and enters his home power sign of Aries, lighting the internal fires of Aries people all over the world. Those with their Sun in Aries and those with Mars prominent will feel released and recharged by this Mars change of sign. He's been drifting and trying to be subtle and indirect since the beginning of February, and not very happy in those efforts. More Aries energy ignites on Tuesday, when the Moon begins her monthly sojourn in Aries, quickly joining Mars and then moving on to align with Uranus and connect with Jupiter in the evening. There's sparks everywhere, impatience, and heads looking to be butted. Use Tuesday's high octane to get things started, or better re-started since "you know who" is still moving backward.

Don't wait for Wednesday to do things because the Moon is VOID all day and on into Thursday making a large hole for new action in the middle of this week. A VOID Moon doesn't mean stop, it means coast and continue. Just don't schedule that campaign kickoff meeting for Wednesday or Thursday morning (U.S. time).

A calming influence begins Thursday afternoon with the Moon's entry into Taurus. Her contacts with Neptune and later Mercury would be perfect for bringing out an old recipe for a meal with soft music and close friends. No first dates though.

Friday is grounding day…not Ground Hog, but grounding because the Moon passes opposite to Saturn in the morning presenting us with useful feedback about resources, owned and shared. Planets opposite each other bring reactions (feedback) to us and they've been few and far between in recent weeks. Only the Moon is making them since many of the planets are bunched together in Pisces with Neptune. They move as a group (except for Neptune) into Aries later this month. Friday's Moon - Saturn seesaw is connected nicely with Pluto pointing to solutions through rededication and elimination of past dead weight.

Late on Saturday, after the VOID Moon enters Gemini and comes under Mercury's influence expect a mini-freeze like those digital TV shots where everything stops in midair. Mercury is stopping the next day and resuming normal forward motion. But we'll be feeling the shift this Saturday. Virgos and Geminis should keep in mind this is a temporary and not a permanent idiocy. You will be able to think and speak again, but feel free to wander around and babble happily.

Sunday March 10, 2013 Pisces Moon

We're swept into the "super" Pisces New Moon coming tomorrow. Periods of peace and quiet are required medicine.

Monday March 11, 2013 Pisces Moon

The New Moon in Pisces comes at 12:15pm/3:15pm. The world is glistening with magic and clouded with myriad inter-connections. Everything is everything, obviously.

Tuesday March 12, 2013 Pisces -> Aries Moon

Mars has escaped from Pisces into Aries and he's joined by the Moon this morning. Resolution no longer "sicklied over by the pale cast of thought."

Wednesday March 13, 2013 Aries Moon

VOID Aries Moon all day. Don't fall for action for action's sake.

Thursday March 14, 2013 Aries -> Taurus Moon

The Moon is VOID until 12:08pm/3:08pm when she enters Taurus settling down the vibes. A good evening for food and song.

Friday March 15, 2013 Taurus Moon

Some hard financial facts come this morning as the Moon moves opposite Saturn, but they're followed by opportunities.

Saturday March 16, 2013 Taurus -> Gemini Moon

The Taurus Moon will help ground us but we're all "mental" with Mercury coming to a stop to end his retrograde period.

Ongoing

Jupiter is in Gemini until July.

Saturn is in retrograde Scorpio resuming direct motion this summer.

Uranus is in Aries going retrograde next July.

Neptune is in Pisces going retrograde next spring.

Pluto is in Capricorn going retrograde next spring.

In the Night Sky

Venus is a bright Morning Star shining in the east just before sunrise.

Jupiter is the bright heavenly body overhead after sunset.

Find Orion overhead near Jupiter by his belt of 3 stars in a line.
