Carlton L. Highsmith Participates in Senate Tribute to Bill Strickland at U.S. Capitol –
Connecticut entrepreneur and philanthropist Carlton L. Highsmith participated in Senator Robert P. Casey’s 2013 Annual Black History Month Tribute in Washington, D.C. on February 25. Following the senator’s speech in the Gallery of the United States Senate, Highsmith and other invitees participated in a symposium at the Kennedy Caucus Room in the Russell Senate Building about this year’s honoree, William (Bill) B. Strickland, Jr. The panel discussed Strickland’s innovative and inspirational approach to social entrepreneurship.
