Booker T. Washington & Around The Way
As you know, the Around The Way app finds the closest Black-owned businesses to you.Early 20th century Black leader Booker T. Washington was once quoted as saying: "...there must be for our race economic independence." It's been nearly 100 years since the death of Booker T Washington, yet African Americans still have not achieved full economic independence.
Washington was also quoted as saying: "If you want to lift yourself up, lift up someone else."
It is in the living spirit of Booker T. Washington that Around The Way was born.
Our sole mission is the same as Booker T Washington's noble mission.
The only differences are 100 years and GPS satellites to assist in this mission.
