Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Hosts Community Health Symposium
New Haven, CT, January 23, 2013 - For the seventh consecutive year,
the New Haven Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.,
will host a health fair to share valuable health information with the
community.
Sponsored by Yale-New Haven Hospital, the health fair will take place
on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at the Elks Lodge, 87 Webster Street,New
Haven, beginning at 10 am.
The health fair, which is free and open to the public, will feature
information tables from 10 am until 12 noon with subject matter
experts offering tips on healthy lifestyles, heart health and dental
health as well as guidelines for healthy cholesterol levels, diabetes
information and cancer support services. Free blood pressure readings
will be offered on-site as well as exercise demonstrations.
At noon, a heart healthy lunch will be available for attendees as well
as raffles and giveaways.
