For this week's iteration of the African Studies Brown Bag series, the Council on African Studies is very pleased to welcome Oumama El Kettani of the African Development Bank for a talk on:
"Development in Africa: What role for International Financial Institutions?"
Oumama El Kettani is an Investment Officer at the African Development Bank in charge of a portfolio of transactions in banking, private equity and trade. In 2011, she designed and coordinated the joint Action Plan submitted to the G8 by the IFIs to support MENA countries in the context of the Arab spring. Prior to joining the African Development Bank, Oumama worked as a project manager at the Boston Consulting Group in the Paris office where she was a core group member of the Financial Services practice. She graduated from ESSEC business school in France, where she earned a Masters degree with a major in Finance and a minor in Urban Economics.
