Overview:
Once again we're in a period with long VOID moon times. For the next two weeks, all of the planets except for the Sun and Jupiter are in the beginning of their zodiac signs. So the Moon makes useful contacts soon after entering a new sign and then coasts, sometimes for more than 24 hours, until she enters a new sign. Void Moon periods are not wasted or useless; they're just ill-suited to start something new. Ongoing work, regularly scheduled events, reviews all can be productive. However, decision making should be scheduled for times when the Moon is active.
Early on Sunday the Cancer Moon repeats a pattern we've seen lo these many months when she makes a T-square with Uranus and Pluto. Our emotions and self-protective instincts are on high alert. With Mars making a square to Neptune, which he does roughly once a year, imagined violence may be hard to keep out of consciousness. Goals and challenges may seem overwhelming with Neptune's vision of perfection so clear. A simple project may inflate to grandiose proportions and thereby become undoable. It is well to remember that Neptune places carrots before our mules and that the journey is often more important than the destination. Avoid paralysis by perfection.
The expansionary energy is continued on Monday during the all-day VOID Moon as the Sun links with Jupiter. This can be useful to step back and gain altitude and a new perspective, an excellent use of a long VOID Moon. Traveling outside your town or city can be extra rewarding and serendipitous.
Imagination and new vision can be given form this week when Saturn makes a harmonious link with Neptune on Wednesday . A new reality is coming into being and we can co-create this by holding our desired mental image clearly and in detail. Saturn - Neptune links only occur roughly every 12 years and are another of the long wave-form energies rippling through our time. This will recur in June and July 2013 and then not again until 2036.
Most of Tuesday the Leo Moon is in a fire triangle with Mars and Uranus. There may be too much fire for some situations or individuals. We need to avoid confining places or people and keep our bodies in motion.
Mercury and Venus both make useful connections with Pluto midweek. Little mysteries in our day-to-day life and relationships can be explored and understood. Healing comes from cleansing old injuries with words and compassion. Pluto makes the wounded areas visible and open to renewal.

Mars makes a square with Neptune and Don Quixote re-appears after a heavy morning of Uranus - Pluto - Cancer Moon heavy lifting.
Monday October 8, 2012 Cancer Moon
Although the Moon is VOID until tomorrow morning, the Sun makes an upbeat connection with Jupiter: big thoughts, expanded vision, and detachment.
Tuesday October 9, 2012 Cancer -> Leo Moon
After the Moon enters Leo at 4:55am/7:55am ending the VOID period, we roll up our sleeves for social changes as Venus eases into contact with Pluto. We have energy to burn with a fire triangle of Moon, Mars, and Uranus. Be careful with matches.

Focus on your vision of the future. Saturn brings Neptune's images into reality as the connect today. Mercury learns the secret route from Pluto. The Moon goes VOID at 2:40pm/5:40pm.
Thursday October 11, 2012 Leo -> Virgo Moon
Soon after the Moon ends her VOID period at 12:23pm/3:23pm to enter Virgo, we see what needs correction.

VOID Moon all day - no connections made. But she enters Libra at 4:02pm/7:02pm so a party tonight goes well.

Saturn is in Libra changing signs into Scorpio on October 5th.
Uranus is retrograde in Aries and resumes normal motion December 13.
Neptune is retrograde is Pisces resuming normal motion on November 10th.
Pluto is in Capricorn going retrograde next spring.

Venus is a bright Morning Star shining in the east just before sunrise.
Mars is visible low in the southwest just after sundown.
Jupiter rises in the east around 10pm.

(As the moon moves through the signs of the Zodiac, there comes a time when it has made the last connection it can make while in the present sign. From that time until the Moon enters the next Zodiac sign it is said to be VOID. It means that things are "in neutral". It is a time to maintain routines but NOT a time to begin new projects. Ideas and opportunities which come up during VOID moon periods rarely amount to much. It's not a good time to schedule an important first meeting or to make decisions. This VOID time can last from a couple minutes to almost 48 hours depending on the arrangement of the planets in the signs.)
