CDI Home

Welcome!

Cooperative Development Institute (CDI) is the Northeast's center for cooperative business education, training and technical assistance. CDI's mission is to build a cooperative economy through the creation and development of successful cooperative enterprises and networks in diverse communities in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, Connecticut, Maine, Rhode Island and New York.
Our organization provides education, training and technical assistance to existing and start-up cooperatively-structured enterprises in all business sectors: food, housing, energy, agriculture, arts, health, forestry, fisheries, retail, service and more

CDI is organizing "Cooperative Connecticut", a 10-month training and technical assistance program to help start-up cooperatives launch and existing cooperatives expand or re-imagine their businesses. We are looking to hire some topic-specific trainers and co-op business mentors to provide assistance to several cooperative enterprises in Northeast Connecticut. Please read and circulate the job descriptions for trainers and for mentors. Applications are due November 23, 2012.

Dear Tom and all,

Thank you for letting people know about the Cooperative Development Institute. We are thrilled to have more people learning and thinking about cooperatives all year round, but especially during Co-op Month in October, and during 2012, the U.N.-declared International Year of Cooperatives (see 2012.coop).

BUT we are NOT running a "Cooperative Connecticut" training program this year. We ran it in 2011, and may consider it in the future. We encourage everyone to browse www.cdi.coop for more information about co-ops and our services, or contact us at info@cdi.coop.

Thank you, and happy Co-op Month!
Noemi Giszpenc, Executive Director
