ABC's 'Scandal' climbs to No.3 on list of Top 25 favorite shows in Black homes

(October 10, 2012) Right behind the never-ending appeal of NFL football for Black TV viewers is the drama in the nation's capital. No, not the Presidential elections, but ABC's "Scandal" (starring Kerry Washington) which inched up one notch to the No.3 position last week with a 4.8 rating and 1.7 million fans.

NBC held on to be the most watched TV network in bBlack households with 12.7 million for seven of its shows on the Top 25. ABC followed with 10.4 million across eight show. CBS fell to a rare third place with 9.7 million for just seven shows.

The total number of viewers watching the Top 25 for the first week in October, according to Nielsen, was 37.4 million. That's just seven percent fewer than the previous week.
