The Norwalk Naacp health fair was a fun filled and info filled event. Like the New Haven Naacp and Hartford Naacp Health fairs, the local chapters realize that a health community is a civil rights filled and human rights filled community.
Feeling good, being good and sharing good all are intertwined. Perhaps the fight for equality can be summed up in Affordable Care for all and unlimited love for all.
Idealistic perhaps but the community health fairs demonstrate not by protest but by action and community invitation that health is a holistic endeavor and that we all are entitled to the happy pursuit of health and not fighting for its rations.
I was blessed to participate in distributing anti- smoking, smoking cessation, smoking prevention information. Non-healthy behaviors interact and encourage one another. If you stop one then you can move onto the other areas. If you continue a negative behavior it can encourage other sinister friends to join the party.
Smoking not only pollutes your body, it pollutes mother earth and second hand smoke and now even third hand smoke harms us all.
We each can do our part. Let's light up the world and not make it smoky !
