Circle of Sisters is New York’s largest expo for women of color and hosts a variety of speakers, authors, seminars, inspirational services, R&B and gospels concert in addition to the more than 200 vendors and companies selling unique items and services. This is the eighth year of the event and experienced record breaking success last year. The expo is accented by an avalanche of captivating elements like fabulous shopping, a fascinating fashion show and scrumptious food tasting with some of today’s top chefs at the Food Pavilion. Always a family affair, the Children’s Pavilion has fun activities including lessons in the arts and dance classes. Informative empowering panels by field experts, political figures and some of entertainments biggest names are held under the same Circle of Sisters banner and have boasted panelist such as Rev. Al Sharpton, Susan Taylor, The Honorable Cory Booker, Terry McMillan, Montel Williams and more.
And who can forget the excitement of the Concerts with R&B artists like Eric Benet, Fantasia, Tank, Jennifer Hudson, Salt ‘n’ Pepa, Bell Biv Devoe, Big Daddy Kane and Gospel powerhouses to bring the message home like Smokie Norful, Vickie Winans, Tye Tribbett, Deitrick Haddon — just to name a few.
