NORWALK NAACP TO HOST COMMUNITY HEALTH FAIR
NORWALK -- Norwalk families can get free health screenings and help with managing their personal finances during a community-wide health fair early next month. The Norwalk branch of National Association for the Advancement of Colored People has partnered with a number of community organizations for the health fair, which is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 4, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Nathaniel Ely School, 11 Ingalls Ave.
"The interest in this event has been huge," said Yolanda Skinner, chairwoman of the Norwalk NAACP Health Committee. "When I reached out to various vendors, the response was: 'Yes, of course. This is something we have been wanting to do.'"
