Tour the Prince Hall Masonic Temple (formerly New Goffe Street School)
Ann Garrett Robinson, Founding Curator, LRBSM - will speak on her discoveries as a community historian and perform pieces from her play about the Emancipation Proclamation.
David A. Taylor – Guest Author - will speak about New Haven's George W. Crawford and the path from slavery's children to the Niagara Movement, the NAACP and Brown v. Board of Education.
Valarie A. Stone – Uncle Roy’s Artist - will speak of her inspired drawings on display in Masonic Temple.
(Uncle Roy, the late Leroy Fitch was a renowned Prince Hall Masonic Leader in New Haven and beyond.)
Civil Rights – Multimedia Presentation - will highlight moments in the Civil Rights Movement (including the role of New Haven's Judge Constance Baker Motley).
