Meet New Haven Residents
These residents are eager and ready to work.
These potential employees are enthusiastic to learn about the opportunities that may be available in the community.
All residents participating will be pre-screened by City of New Haven staff!
These potential employees will come prepared with current resumes and references.
This will be an ongoing effort to connect employers with residents of all skill levels
This is an opportunity for the community to come together in a meaningful way during this uncertain economy.
Preparing the New Haven Workforce
The fair is one of several initiatives intended to prepare the New Haven workforce for jobs in the new economy.
The Board of Education, with School Change and New Haven Promise, is preparing students for higher education and deeper skill sets. In partnership with Gateway Community College, a new vocation/trade school concept is being explored. Also, residents are being trained in the various building trades and assisting small contractors in the construction industry.
New ways to fully prepare the residents of New Haven for job opportunities are welcomed.
