So a few weeks ago, I asked Southeastern CONNECTicut 2 stand up 4 World AIDS Day. Today there were a total of 5 (that I know of) events that happened locally...
s/o to The Cultural Society, Three Rivers Community College,Alliance for Living New London, Provenance Center & Ledge Light Health District for collaborating to put SECT on THA MAP!!! We did it! Let's do it again... SOON. National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day is right around the corner- whas good?
s/o to Tom Ficklin who came through and documented one of the events (the pix are GREAT, sir- thankie).
Lemme tell yall somethin- if you weren't at the Hygienic, then you missed some GREATNESS tonight. The poets were hypnotizing, the art was fierce and the energy-- infectious.
Our charge is to make sure the messages brought forth 2day continue throughout the year. I'm committed... what say u? No funding from the State? So! We have the tools to make a difference. Whasup... yall down or what?
Dig it- EVERY day is World AIDS Day... till there are ZERO new infections.
