Author Terrie M. Williams was the Guest Speaker on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 for an enlightening and interactive presentation and panel discussion regarding mental health in the Black community. Hosted by the Recovery Networked Programs this opportunity to engage in real deal healing was a most worthwhile experience.
Terrie M. Williams, one of Ebony magazine’s “Power 150” for Activism and Woman’s Day magazine “50 Women On A Mission To Change The World,” is an advocate for change and empowerment. For more than 30 years, she has used her influence and communications expertise to educate and engage audiences in causes. Black Pain: “The help we need is here: a clear explanation of our troubles and a guide to finding relief through faith, therapy, diet, and exercise, as well as through building a supportive network (and eliminating toxic people).
