The Arts Council of Greater New Haven
Announces Ripple Effect Holiday Celebration
On Sunday, December 18th, 2011, from 2-4pm, artists and community members will come together to celebrate the holiday season and experience Ripple Effect. Ripple Effect is an expanding, collaborative, site-sensitive, multi-media project at 756 Chapel Street, New Haven, CT. The “ripple effect” manifests as artists respond to the building’s architecture, history and psychological landscape; each “ripple” artist “tags” another artist to create an installation or “pokes” a fellow artist to interface with or react to their own piece.
756 Chapel Street, now utilized as a Project Storefronts space, and once home to the popular and much-loved music store, Goldie & Libro, presents a collection of creative expressions in a truly one-of-a-kind collaborative project.
For more information about Ripple Effect, call the Arts Council of Greater New Haven at (203) 772-2788. Also, visit www.rippleeffectexhibit.com to stay current with the latest events and artists added to this project.
