REMEMBERING SCHWERNER, GOODMAN AND CHANEY

On this day in 1964 Michael Schwerner, Andrew Goodman, and James Chaney were killed by a Ku Klux Klan lynch mob near Meridian, Mississippi. The three young civil rights workers were working to register black voters in Mississippi.

Let us always remember these young men, these civil rights heroes and the courage they had in reaching out to make our country a better and more equal place for all.
