EDU, Inc. hosted the Getting African American Males Educated (G.A.M.E.) initiative in conjunction with the Atlanta Hawks Organization this past NBA season. Students from Metro-Atlanta high schools selected by their guidance counselors heard presentations from various black male professionals, met and were photographed with Atlanta Hawks players, completed the EDU, Inc. Common Black College Application and watched the Atlanta Hawks versus the Miami Heat basketball game.
The mission of the G.A.M.E. initiative is to create a sense of community and self awareness among black males while focusing on the importance of education. Mentors from various walks of life are partnered with the students during the G.A.M.E. events to help accomplish this all important mission.
