Andrews wins first pro match at Carson | USTA Pro Circuit - News | USTA: "CARSON, Calif. – Gabby Andrews admitted it felt like any other match at just another tournament, but deep down she knew Tuesday was a special day.

There will undoubtedly be many, many more professional tournaments and victories for the 14-year-old wild card from Pomona, Calif., who played – and won – in her first professional match in the first round at the Carson USTA Women’s $50,000 Challenger presented by the Farmers Classic at The Home Depot Center.

'I felt really loose and have just been playing with a lot of confidence,' said Andrews, who will also pick up her first world ranking points with her 6-4, 6-1 win over former four-year USC starter Amanda Fink, a 24-year-old and two-year Pro Circuit veteran from Calabasas, Calif., who is currently ranked No. 375 in the WTA world rankings. 'It really just feels like any other tournament. I haven’t even looked at the draw. I don’t even know who I play next.'"
