The Boston Public Health Commission (BPHC) has launched the Racial Justice and Health Equity Initiative, an organizational transformation process which aims to integrate health equity and racial justice principles and practices into all Commission work, both internal and external, in order to measurably reduce inequities in Boston. The Initiative's Professional Development Series includes a 22-hour learning experience for BPHC's 1,100 staff members. The Series focuses on racism, social determinants of health, health inequities, and strategies to advance health equity in all of the Commission's work."
