Hillhouse High School Football Team Champions in the Community” New Haven, CT.


In the summer of 2009, more than 40 members of Hillhouse High School’s football team participated in United Way’s Days of Action by working alongside Neighborhood Housing Services of NewHaven to assist with the interior demolition of two homes in the Newhallville neighborhood of New Haven.  The two homes have been completely renovated and are ready to be sold.The champions celebrated their hard work and to take a tour of the homes they helped to transform on WednesdayApril 13, 2011 at 664 Winchester Ave, New Haven along with Jim Paley, Executive Director,  Neighborhood Housing Services of New Haven, Jack Healy, President and CEO, United Way of Greater New Haven,Eric Johnson, Executive Director, Livable City Initiative, City of New Haven Tom Dyer, Head Football Coach, Hillhouse High School and Frank E. Brady, Poet, Speaker, EntertainerThe program was followed by a tour of 664 and 678 Winchester Avenue.
